June lives near the small Central Oregon town of Prineville, at the foot of the Ochoco Mountains, where the juniper and the pine trees meet. She studied Art Education and Veterinary Science at Cal Poly and Oregon State. She was introduced to quilting in 1969 by her sister, Jean Wells and began teaching quilting
