Mega Millions winning numbers worth $201 million

A large pot of gold is still available after St. Patrick’s Day. Tonight’s Mega Millions jackpot is estimated to be worth $201 million.
There was no jackpot winner in the latest Mega Millions drawing that took place this past Tuesday night, but 18 lucky players matched the first 5 numbers for a $250,000 prize, including 2 from New Jersey.
The jackpot has been steadily growing since Feb. 1, when megamillions.com reports a $93 million prize was claimed by winners in Michigan and Indiana. Mega Millions has now gone 12 drawings without a winner being selected.
Yahoo News reports the largest payout for a single lottery ticket took place in February 2006, when a Powerball jackpot with an annuitized payout of $365 million was won by eight people who worked together at a meat processing plant in Nebraska. In that case, they opted for the $177 million cash payout.

Sharp filmed commercials for the New Jersey Lottery Division, became something of a local celebrity — and blew his money on cars and fine living.
Before long, he was borrowing against his future payout checks. Eventually the cash disappeared, and he moved to Tennessee and became a minister.
According to thatmoney.com, 80% of all lottery winners file for bankruptcy. That's because they don't know the true power of money and they don’t appreciate how crucial it is to make solid decisions.

Tokyo water 'unfit for babies' due to high radiation

Radioactive iodine levels in some areas were twice the recommended safe level.
People in Fukushima prefecture, where the nuclear plant is located, have been told not to eat certain vegetables because of contamination worries.
Workers have been temporarily evacuated from the plant after black smoke was seen rising from reactor No 3.

Engineers have been trying to cool the reactors and spent fuel ponds to avoid a major release of radiation, after power to the cooling systems was knocked out by the earthquake and tsunami.
The authorities are warning people living in Tokyo not to allow babies less than a year old to drink water from the tap.
The level of radiation picked up in tests carried out on Tuesday was more than twice the level that is safe for infants to drink.

But officials have stressed that children would have to drink a lot of it before it harmed them. There is no immediate health risk to others.

The government has also ordered people living in Fukushima not to eat 11 types of green leafy vegetable grown locally that have been contaminated by radiation.
Local producers have been ordered not to send the goods to market, and in the neighbouring prefecture of Ibaraki they have been told to halt shipments of milk and parsley with immediate effect.
The Japanese Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano said: "Even if these foods are temporarily eaten, there is no health hazard.
"But unfortunately, as the situation is expected to last for the long term, we are asking that shipments stop at an early stage, and it is desirable to avoid intake of the foods as much as possible."
He told a news conference that importers of Japanese foods should take a "logical stance".
The Food and Drug Administration in the US said that all milk and milk products and fresh fruits and vegetables from four Japanese prefectures - Fukushima, Ibaraki, Tochigi and Gunma - would be stopped from entering the United States.
Countries including China, Taiwan and South Korea have already been carrying out rigorous checks of Japanese food imports.

Today, March 22, the world turns its attention to the sustainable management of water resources in recognition of World Water Day. ITT Corporation (NYSE:ITT), a world leader in the transport and treatment of water and wastewater, supports the United Nations’ (UN) 2011 focus on urbanization and water infrastructure—a critical, yet frequently forgotten, piece of the puzzle.
Today, half of the people on the planet lives in a city and according to UN-HABITAT, virtually all of the world’s demographic growth over the next 30 years will be concentrated in urban areas, with the world’s urban population expected to double by 2050. In China alone, 300 million people are expected to migrate from the interior of the country to the coastal regions in the next two decades, placing demands on infrastructure that cannot possibly be met over the long-term without massive investment in water treatment and infrastructure.
In other developed regions, water pipes as well as treatment and delivery systems are crumbling under the combined pressures of population growth, urbanization and chronic underinvestment. In the United States, the U.S. Geological Survey estimates that 1.7 trillion gallons of water are wasted every year as a result of water main breaks and other leaks. Seemingly minor improvements in water infrastructure can also save enormous amounts of energy: California’s State Water Project, which pumps water over the Tehachapi Mountains, is the largest single user of energy in California and accounts for up to three percent of all electricity consumed in the state. Even incremental changes could realize significant energy savings.

Still racing? Still racing? Really Phil? Twice already this season, with the still racing. When will this season end? July? Anyway, The Goths – assuming they find their passports in the gondola (and really, Vyxsin, buck up), are still in it. Nerves re pretty frayed for it being this early in the race, and apparently tonight they unravel even further. And I think we are close to the Double U-Turn!

So last week’s wasn’t as good, because any time they have a “writing assignment” it’s boring, since they are not doing anything physical. That said, the emergence of Dionne Warwick as a Class A (Expletive) was awesome! And the smack down between Dionne and Marlee, and Dionne yelling at Marlee’s translator and him reminding her – twice – that he was speaking for Marlee was awesome! And bye-bye Lisa Rinna and your lips. Tonight, “The teams must stage an experience with RVs in midtown Manhattan; a celebrity takes control from the leader; a project manager takes a break to play catch.”
